Charges have been dropped against O.J. Mayo, the high school basketball superstar and USC recruit who had been cited for marijuana possession in Huntington, West Virginia, last week.

The charges were dropped because two individuals took responsibility on Monday for the small amount of marijuana that police found in a car that Mayo was riding in. Initially all four of the people in the car had been charged with possession. This is great news for the Trojans, as Mayo is generally considered the best high school player in the country, and USC landing him was a major recruiting coup for the program.
