Jerramy Stevens Cited for Possession And DUI

Free agent tight end Jerramy Stevens likes Tequila. He told Scottsdale police that he had "four or five" of them before getting pulled over some time around 2:30 in the morning on Monday. The arresting officers said Mr. Stevens was visibly bombed. I've never been to the Salty Senorita bar on Scottsdale Road, but it sounds like a lovely place to spend some quality time. My take: an NFL tight end can handle four or five 'ritas like you or I can handle a pint. I don't believe that's all of the substances he was on. Lo and behold:

Stevens, 27, was also cited for possession of marijuana after officers found a portion in his back pocket, police said.

The free-agent tight end, who is currently being courted by Seattle and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was visibly intoxicated, according to the Scottsdale police report.

Stevens was pulled over for driving erratically along Indian School Road near 81st Street in a rented 2007 Chrysler 300 sedan. The arresting officer said Stevens' eyes were "bloodshot, watery and half-closed."

Sounds like your typical case of the sticky icky. The Arizona Republic also points out Jeremy Stevens has quite a history.

2003: Charges with drunk driving
2001: "charged with hit-and-run after he crashed his car into a Seattle retirement home"
2000: "accused of drugging and raping a 19-year-old girl" (dropped)
