Between matching wardrobes with Barry Zito, smashing so many bombs that he says he wants to work on line drives, and busting his rump stretching singles into doubles, Barry Bonds is feeling good this Spring. The 42 year old is apparently feeling so jolly that he now seems optimistic about playing in 2008, by which time he may have obliterated Hank Aaron's career home run record. Bonds said Monday"Let me get through '07 first ... If I'm healthy, I'd consider coming back ... When you feel better, your mood is better ... The last couple of years it wasn't happening."Captain Cranium seems to think Bonds is possessed
"There's no question in my mind he has a lot of baseball left," [Bruce] Bochy said. "He came in here in good shape. He's been running well, he's swinging the bat well. He looks like he's on a mission to play longer."And if Bonds doesn't break the record this year, expect him to be back next year. Why you ask? Because the man's got a record to break. Fast.
