The ongoing glance at potential hot coaching names, by bracket, that you can expect to hear mentioned during and after the NCAA Tournament for other job openings. Some names have come up before, but

Jeff Neubauer, Eastern Kentucky: Only his second year as a head coach might make some hesitate, but he's got EKU on top of the Ohio Valley Conference and back in the NCAA Tournament. He has 8 years as an assistant under WVU Head Coach John Beilein in West Virginia and Richmond, yet he is only 36. His youth and only 2 years as a HC might dissuade some schools, but don't be surprised if a school in the Missouri Valley Conference at least interviews him. Neubauer is from Louisiana, but went to school at LaSalle in Philadelphia.

Chances of Leaving
: Will listen.

Reggie Theus, New Mexico St.: After two seasons, there's not nearly the doubt about whether Reggie Theus can be a head coach that there had been. Theus had previously established his recruiting skills as an assistant for Rick Pitino in Louisville and proved them again by luring Herb Pope to the Aggies. There has already been speculation that Theus might be pursued by his alma mater, UNLV, if when Lon Kruger jumps.

Chances of Leaving: Will listen, but unlikely. Barring a really good opportunity, Theus is likely to stay at least one more year.

Karl Hobbs, George Washington: Has made GW into a perennial contender in the A-10 in his six years. It was supposed to be a down/rebuilding year he got them to the NCAA Tournament by winning the A-10 Tournament. Played at UConn and was an assistant there under Jim Calhoun. Hobbs seems happy at GW, though, this may simply be waiting until the right job opportunity.

Chances of Leaving: Unlikely. Hobbs has spent his entire career coaching on the East Coast. There aren't any job openings in that region, bigger then his current gig.

Scott Sutton, Oral Roberts: A combination of bloodlines, as the youngest of Eddie Sutton's sons, and coaching pedigree, as an assistant for now Kansas Head Coach Bill Self, He's actually been the ORU Head Coach for eight years now. Given some of the openings in the Southwest this year, it's hard to believe he won't be one of the coaches under consideration.

Chances of Leaving:
Will listen.
