Jay Bilas is a smart, articulate, well-respected basketball commentator, but I couldn't disagree more with him here. On ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning show, Bilas just said the following about the Greg Oden foul at the end of Ohio State's win over Xavier:

"I thought the kid flopped.... I think they should start calling technical fouls on kids who flop."

"The kid" he's referring to is Xavier's Justin Cage. You can watch Oden foul Cage here and judge for yourself, but I'm still convinced that it should have been called an intentional foul. Oden himself acknowledged that it was a hard foul. Oden weighs 280 pounds and Cage weighs 225. When you give a guy who weighs 55 pounds less than you a hard foul, the guy will go flying. There was no flop here.
