Joey Porter got $20 million to sign with the Dolphins, but that doesn't mean he's in a good mood. The Big Lead passes along a report from Vegas insider Norm Clarke:A fist fight between two NFL players broke out in the Palms casino on Sunday night, sources said. Joey Porter, an All-Pro linebacker who recently left the Pittsburgh Steelers to join the Miami Dolphins, brawled with Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Levi Jones, at about 6 p.m. at a blackjack table in the casino.
Jones, who suffered scratches, told Las Vegas police he would be filing charges against Porter. Sources said there has been bad blood between the two.
As Big Lead notes, Porter's 30th birthday is this week, so he may have been in Vegas celebrating, and what better way to celebrate turning 30 than showing you can still bring it? Jones outweighs Porter by about 60 pounds, but I'd definitely bet on Porter in a fight: Most of Jones' extra weight is fat, and Porter has that killer instinct that you just can't teach. So do his dogs, but they weren't involved here.
UPDATE: Joey Porter Cited for Punching Levi Jones at Blackjack Table
