According to Placer County deputy district attorney Dan Quick, Ron Artest will be arraigned on Thursday on charges of battery and corporal injury to a spouse, false imprisonment and dissuading a witness from reporting a crime. Each one of the charges carries a maximum prison sentence of one year in jail. This is all stemming from his March 5th arrest on domestic violence charges. On Monday Artest talked about his image problems.
"People are always going to judge, and obviously I'm not perfect," the Kings small forward said before Monday's game in Atlanta. "I can be reckless at times, and things can happen and stuff.Artest told the Sacramento Bee that he's selling his home in Loomis and is currently living in a hotel.
I'm always going to make mistakes, and maybe there's people out there that understand and maybe there's people that don't. I think maybe I can get those people that don't to understand the type of person I am."
