According to Len Pasquarelli of ESPN and the Philadelphia Eagles main page, the Eagles and Bills have completed a swap that will send linebacker Takeo Spikes and quarterback Kelly Holcomb to Philly. In exchange for those two, the Bills will acquire defensive tackle Darwin Walker and a conditional draft pick in 2008.

I am quite surprised that was all it took to pry Spikes away from Buffalo. I realize they needed to dump the salary and a suddenly injury plagued linebacker was the way to go, but for a conditional pick and Walker? I'd say the Eagles made out like bandits, especially given Spikes potential if he can stay healthy.

Great trade for the Eagles and some salary cap clearance for the Bills. Both teams got what they wanted and needed but I still put the check mark of victory on the Eagles side of the board.
