Danny Fortson is talking, which is always fun.Gary Washburn of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer got Fortson to explain exactly why he got suspended by Sonics coach Bob Hill earlier this month.
Fortson said ... he was told by assistant coaches Detlef Schrempf and Ralph Lewis that he did not have to attend the workout scheduled for reserves at Suffolk University.Damn that Detlef Schrempf! Always trying to hold folks down.
Fortson claimed Tuesday that there were "three different" Suffolk campuses and had no idea which one was correct.
"It would have been nice to know which (campus) it was. There were two assistant coaches who told me I didn't have to go, Ralph Lewis and Detlef Schrempf," he said.
As much as Fortson sounds like the kid trying to explain away the hash nugget in his sock drawer... don't these fools know who they're dealing with?! Bob Hill better check himself.
