When Danny Fortson news happens, the FanHouse has got you covered. I've always been of the opinion that the Spurs, while very talented and fundamentally sound, would definitely be considered a "soft" basketball team. This little nugget from Sonics' columnist Frank Hughes just confirms it for me:

When Bob Hill sent Danny Fortson in the game, Gregg Popovich quickly went to insert Fabricio Oberto because he clearly did not want to get Tim Duncan injured by Fortson. Oberto clearly did not want to go in the game against Fortson, so Pop stood up, looked down the bench at Oberto and asked, What the f---? Oberto slithered to the scorer's table. Fortson, by the way, received a loud ovation from the fans.

Wow, what a bunch of [sissies] the Spurs are. I know Fortson has the reputation of being a tough guy, but is he really so much of a hatchet man that Popovich has to sub out his star player, and that his bench players are afraid to even enter the game? As Tom pointed out earlier, I thought Fortson was only interested in roughing up players on his own team. Check out the photo, Timmy actually does look a little worried there.
