The Albany People Who Held An Estate In Land With Certain Manorial Privileges Granted Under The Old Dutch Government Of New York and New Jersey (or, as you might call them, Patroons) are going to have to do without their head coach Michael Ray Richardson. He was let go after his comments about Jews and homosexuals, and finally spoke out on the situation today.

As for his remarks on Jews, he said this:
"That's not a slur. It's like saying that 85 percent of the NBA is black, or 98 percent of hockey is white."
Not quite, man. And here's what his lawyer said about his homosexual slur:
"Can I answer that? I want to answer that. Micheal Ray used that term and immediately apologized. He was in the heat of a game. The heat of competition."
Oh, okay. You're forgiven. Just make sure that any racist, ethnic, or sexist slur you make in the future is done during a game, okay? Because when you're in the heat of competition, you can say anything, and it's okay.

Meanwhile, he did get a little bit of (probably unintentional) moral support from 50-Cent today. 50 was discussing some kind of legal trouble with Tony Yayo (you don't say!) and dropped this in (which you can hear about the 4:05 mark here):
When it comes to civil, you don't have to worry about G-Unit. You have to worry about the J-J-J-J-J-Jew Unit. They the real goon squad. When the lawyers come out, we gonna see what it is."
Yeah, this really wasn't complete until 50 Cent weighed in. Someone should get his take on the Billy Packer thing, too.
