Earlier, I pointed out Sergio's teal and aqua number from Friday's round, but he's not even in the same conversation as Ian Poulter, one of the best-dressed golfers on Tour. Friday, Poulter sported a classy Augusta green-inspired number, and topped it off with a Sam Snead fedora (at least I think they call that thing a fedora). Yesterday's ensemble -- which seemed to indicate the fedora's here for the week -- included lime britches ... and shoes (see photo to the right). I'm guessing he had to special order those puppies -- I don't think you can get them at the local Foot Locker.
Today, Poulter's get up is a bit understated -- at least for Poulter -- he's sporting an orange shirt beneath a cream-colored sweater, with matching pants and fedora. It's probably worth pointing out that Poulter's cream-colored pants are highlighted by an orange racing stripe down both legs. Nice touch.
And while I'm not usually interested in golf couture, I like Poulter, and the fact that he's one of the world's best golfers despite all the fashion distractions speaks to his abilities. Oh, yeah, just in case you wondering about the golf: Poulter's currently tied for 36th at 9-over. He carded 75s on Thursday and Friday, and is 3-over through seven holes today
