102-Year-Old Woman Hits Hole-In-One (Not at Augusta)

We take a brief break from our Masters coverage here at Golf FanHouse to tell you about 102-year-old Elsie McLean, who has just become the oldest person ever to hit a hole-in-one on a regulation course.

"I said, 'Oh, my Lord. It can't be true. It can't be true.' I was so excited. And the girls were absolutely overcome," McLean said. ... McLean, who used a driver, broke the age record of 101 set by Harold Stilson in 2001 at Deerfield Country Club in Florida.

Now, obviously, the 100-yard fourth hole at Bidwell Park on which McLean got her ace isn't exactly like playing at Augusta National this week. Still, I'd have to agree with McLean's own assessment: "For an old lady," she said, "I still hit the ball pretty good."
