Golden State's Thunder overpowering the Jazz Bear Monday night.

Talk about bringing a knife to a (run and) gun fight! The Jazz were without their AK-47 last night, and they weren't too high on motivation given their playoff positioning. Watching them shoot the ball was like watching someone try to feed a Tic Tac to a whale.

The Warriors, on the other hand, decided to put a little mustard on it -- especially after finding out that the Clippers and Lakers had both lost. The Dubs posted a decisive 126-102 win over the Jazz and slid into a pseudo-tie with the Clippers for the eighth playoff spot.

According to these scientific calculations, the Warriors are now at least 50% likely to have a better than 40% chance of making the playoffs. Or something like that. It was a magical time in Oracle Arena as fans started to realize the postseason was within reach -- you could almost taste the playoff pizza. This is a big deal for a franchise that hasn't made the playoffs since ice hockey became the national sport of Canada. (No, seriously, that happened in 1994.) Warriors fans believe!
