Jason Whitlock: Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton Are 'Terrorists'

Jason Whitlock, the columnist for the Kansas City Star and AOL Sports, has been one of the most vocal opponents of the effort to get Don Imus taken off the air for calling the Rutgers women's basketball team "nappy-headed hos." Whitlock isn't defending what Imus said, but he is saying that in many respects, Imus's critics are worse than Imus.

And in an appearance on Tucker Carlson's show on MSNBC, Whitlock lashed out at Imus's two harshest critics, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Whitlock said, "I would say to CBS, don't negotiate with terrorists, because that's what Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are." Here's the video:

I admire Whitlock and basically agree with his premise that too many people are acting like Don Imus is the biggest problem with race relations in this country. I think just about everyone would agree that calling Sharpton and Jackson "terrorists" takes it too far, though.
