As much as I hate the Sunday Night Baseball crew over at ESPN they're still 100x better than Joe Buck and/or Tim McCarver, who you can expect me to make fun of in due time.

Check out the conversation between Joe Morgan, Jon Miller, and Peter Gammons after the jump.

MillerHighLife: Hello, and welcome everybody to Sunday Night Baseball here on ESPN! Tonight we'll be honoring the late great Jackie Robinson, who of course broke baseball's color barrier 60 years ago this day. His number 42 was retired across the league, but tonight the entire Los Angeles Dodgers roster, Jackie's former team, will wear the number in a fitting tribute. Sitting alongside me tonight is Hall of Famer Joe Morgan. This is certainly a big day for you, isn't it Joe?

MorganMindy: Yeah I think this is a big day for everyone in baseball. Jackie was obviously a big influence to all the black players, but he did so much more for the game of baseball.
MillerHighLife: /stares intently at camera

Jackie Robinson: Man. Legend. Joe Morgan's fellow Hall of Famer.
MillerHighLife: Tonight the Dodgers will send Randy Wolf to face division rivals the San Diego Padres, who will rely on the arm of Chris Young. What do you think about this matchup, Joe?
MorganMindy: Well both these guys are going to try and keep the other team from putting up a lot of runs. Young's delivery is very deliberate and, well look at this footage here...

See how he's going directly towards home plate? He's getting as close as he can towards the hitter so they have less time to hit the ball. Also see how his 4-seam fastball goes in a straight line to the catcher's mitt? He knows that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, making his fastball more effective.
MillerHighLife: Right you are, Joe! Padres fans think that Chris might be capable of Hall of Fame type numbers someday and

Well you're in the Hall of Fame, aren't you Joe?
MorganMindy: Well you know I really don't believe in numbers but yeah you're right I am in the Hall of Fame.
MillerHighLife: The Big Red Machine! What a team! Including Hall of Famer Joe Morgan! How was that, Joe?
MorganMindy: Well back then we didn't need batting averages and steroids to tell us how to play. We showed up and won some ballgames.
MillerHighLife: A living inspiration. It truly is an honor to be sitting next to you today.
MillerHighLife: Let's check in with our field-level analyst Peter Gammons, who somehow managed to sneak into the Hall of Fame despite having never touched a baseball in his life. How's it look down there, Peter?
Gammondorf: Well there's a lot of excitement. I talked to Nomar Garciaparra earlier and he said that the clubhouse has been energized all day so you can expect action right out of the gate.
MillerHighLife: What about the Padres? Have you managed to get in their clubhouse yet?
Gammondorf: I was talking to Khalil Greene and he told me the entire team had lunch together today and had a team prayer before taking the field so you can expect them to work together and get behind their pitcher Chris Young.
MillerHighLife: That doesn't make any sense.
Gammondorf: I just got back from speaking with Jackie Robinson and he said he's been looking forward to this game all week so look for him to be a dominant force tonight.
MillerHighLife: Sorry, Peter, but it's 10 past the hour. That means it's time for Joe Morgan to tell us about the Hall of Fame while I massage his shoulders.
MorganMindy: Yeah so as I was saying I don't need a book to tell me how to have a .271 career average.
