The Cleveland Browns' draft plans are unclear. They picked Joe Thomas, the Wisconsin tackle, in the FanHouse mock draft, but there's also talk that they like Calvin Johnson, the Georgia Tech receiver. They'd also consider quarterbacks Brady Quinn of Notre Dame and JaMarcus Russell of LSU.

But don't forget about Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson. He thinks he's heading to Cleveland.

Said Peterson: "My gut feeling? Cleveland at three. Sitting down with them [coach Romeo Crennel, GM Phil Savage], I get the feeling they're very, very interested. I would love it there. The fans in Cleveland are the closest to college fans in the NFL. I love the Dawg Pound. I think I can be a franchise back and really help the Browns turn it around.''

I like Peterson, but I think the Browns would be making a mistake if they drafted him with the third overall pick. That high up, the Browns need a franchise player, and that means Johnson, Thomas or one of the quarterbacks. Peterson is a notch below those four.
