Pokey Chatman Claims Resignation From LSU Was Coerced

Former LSU women's basketball coach Pokey Chatman, who resigned when a sexual relationship with a former player came to light, is now claiming that her resignation from LSU was coerced.

"I don't believe her consent to the resignation was fairly obtained or freely given," Baton Rouge attorney Mary Olive Pierson said Monday.

I don't see how Chatman has any case here. She quit when inappropriate conduct came to light, and LSU seems to have treated her fairly, agreeing to pay her the Final Four bonus in her contract and not forcing her to pay the buyout in her contract. For Chatman to claim now, a month later, that the resignation was not freely given is bizarre.
