Riley Calls Heat 'Best Team in the League'

Pat Riley is not man lacking in self confidence. He had the confidence to become the first coach to wear Armani suits and slicked back hair on the sidelines (making himself look like Gordon Gekko); he had the confidence to go against the grain and used a running offense to win multiple titles with the Lakers in the '80s (something the Suns have been unsuccessfully trying to emulate the last few years); and now, despite year-long struggles with injuries and inconsistent play, he's confident that his Miami Heat are the best squad in the whole Association.
"This team, when it's functioning well, is the best team in the league," Riley put it flatly. "I don't care what anybody else's record is."

"When you're a veteran team, I do think it's easier to turn it on." Riley added.
Hear that, Suns, Spurs, Rockets, Pistons, and Cavs? Pat Riley doesn't care what you've been doing all year long. When the chips are down in the next couple of months, he believes that his boys will take you out.

Man, I can't wait for the playoffs to start.
