Big Sexy has a not-so-secret admirer. Today on The View, Rosie O'Donnell said she wants to marry AOL Sports and Kansas City Star columnist Jason Whitlock, aka Big Sexy. O'Donnell's crush on Whitlock was mentioned on Pardon the Interruption today (showing that Whitlock's name hasn't been completely banished from ESPN), and it's noted at WatchingTheView.com. So what led O'Donnell to profess her love for Whitlock? The same thing that's gotten Whitlock in the news all over the place the last couple of weeks: His take on the Don Imus-Rutgers flap. Whitlock has expressed his belief, both in his column and in appearances with television hosts from Tucker Carlson to Oprah Winfrey, that the people who have attacked Imus -- namely Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton -- are more harmful than Imus is.
Whitlock is one of the few people who has come out ahead in this whole "nappy-headed hos" controversy. Not everyone agrees with Whitlock, but just about everyone agrees that he has a fresh take on the issue. And now he's got Rosie O'Donnell lovestruck.
