Forget Joe Thomas, Cardinals May Target Levi Brown

According to Dan Bickley and Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910, there are rumors floating around that the Cardinals may actually trade down in the first round of the NFL Draft rather than trading up.

Originally, thoughts were that the Cardinals may opt to trade up a spot or two in order to obtain tackle Joe Thomas but now they may just take a step back and settle for Levi Brown.

Considering their interest in Adrian Peterson, I have a hard time believing this is accurate. However, if they have decided to draft a tackle and are unable to nab Thomas, trading down and taking Brown would be brilliant. Sure, they may not get equal quality coming out of college but they'd still have a very capable young tackle as well as an extra pick or even an additional player.

Either way, we won't know if this happens until the Cardinals are on the board. There are a ton of variables that can change from now until then, but I like the thought either way. There are plenty of teams from 6-15 looking to trade down, so the Cardinals have a lot of options.
