True story. If you remember during Spring Training, I told you that Bonds was finding a new manufacturer for his bats, and he settled on the Japanese company SSK. Well apparently Bonds is taking the lead from another Japanese player in requesting a portable humidor:"Barry is very aware of the moisture content of his bats," [SSK representative Rob] Williams said. "He heard that Ichiro has one of these (humidors) and he said, 'I've got to have one.' "This is so Major League. Hat for bat, keep bat warm, gracias! I would love to see what one of these humidors look like. Imagine that, a personal, portable humidor for a bat. I want one! It's at times like this where the questions must be asked: how long before these humidors hit the stores? How long before the rich kid on the Little League team has one? Barry, I know your reps treat you well, any chance you can float one of those my way?
