Former Utah coach Rick Majerus could be getting back in the coaching game as soon as this weekend. Majerus is the front-runner to be named the next head coach at Saint Louis University, FoxSports is reporting. Getting Majerus, who currently works as a TV analyst, would be a major coup for Saint Louis, which is planning to move into a new arena starting with the 2008-09 season. Majerus has a career record of 422-147, and in 1998, Majerus led the Utes to the national championship game.
Despite health concerns, Majerus seems to want to get back into coaching: He once accepted the job at USC only to back out, and he seriously considered taking the job at Long Beach State. Whether it's Saint Louis or somewhere else, it seems to be just a matter of time before Majerus is back on the sidelines.
