Telfair arrested. Telfair on the outs with Boston. Telfair's locker cleaned out. Coney Island's Second Finest has hit rock bottom and is looking for a second chance. That, or getting his lawyer to question the Celtics' conduct in this situation and during a previous brush with the law. Here's Ed Hayes, Esq., quoted in The Boston Globe:
"Why do that [make a public statement about removing the nameplate]? Why not say, 'Give it a little time. We'll see what happened.' They should show more restraint after they told him not to cooperate with police against a group of hoodlums [in the Fabolous case] who have been terrorizing athletes and celebrities across the country."Guy gets a bad rap, team should have been more compassionate... Celtics ask Telfair to not talk with police? As far as I can tell, he did view a line-up the day after, albeit without picking out a suspect. The organization doesn't seem to have been thrilled about this, but how supportive can they be? It seems like Hayes thinks that the Celtics either intially told Telfair not to cooperate, or were behind his failure to make a positive ID.
Maybe we should wait and see if anyone from the Celtics responds to this. Then we'll know there's something to it.
