Javaris Crittenton and Thaddeus Young have announced that they are both entering the NBA Draft. Both completed their freshmen seasons at Georgia Tech; both haven't hired an agent, so they can take their name out of draft by June 18th and go back to Tech. According to NBADraft.net, Young is a mid-first round pick who could slip into the lottery. He's an athletic small forward who really started to get rolling toward the tail end of the season. He works hard and is very coach-able. He needs to work on his shot and bulk up a bit ... but he should turn into a nice NBA player.
By not signing with an agent, either player can return to school with their eligibility ... as long as they provide their own way to the scouting camps. It gives both players an opportunity to gage themselves against other NBA hopefuls and learn about what they need to work on to be NBA-ready.
