This Eric Wynalda-Jim Rome feud is getting pretty weird. First, Wynalda (a former U.S. soccer player who's now an ESPN soccer analyst) said during an interview with a soccer blog, "Jim Rome can suck my d---," apparently angry because Rome doesn't discuss soccer enough -- or discusses it in a disparaging way -- on his show.

Then Wynalda was absent from the TV broadcast of the MLS opener, which was never officially explained, but which many people assumed was because he was being punished for his comments about Rome.

Now Wynalda has taken a page out of Rome's book. Rome, of course, is best known for calling former NFL quarterback Jim Everett "Chris Evert":

Perhaps in response to that, Wynalda has called Rome "Kim Rome." Somehow I'm guessing Rome isn't going to overturn a table and knock Wynalda to the ground.
