Matt Millen Not Big On 'Somebody's Internet Thing'

In 2000, the Detroit Lions were a mediocre football team. They were coming off a 9-7 season, and that was right in the range of where they had been for a decade: Never very good, but never the worst team in the league, either. And then Matt Millen came along as the team president, and ever since then, the Lions have been the laughingstocks of the league.

But Millen's utter futility running the Lions doesn't make him stoop to the level of caring what some guy who lives in his parents' basement thinks. When asked recently about rumors that the Lions and Buccaneers were discussing a trade, he laughed and said,

"That came across somebody's Internet thing, whatever those things are," Millen said. "I'm not big on that stuff."

It's good to know Millen has standards. He'll draft receivers who can't catch and hire coaches who can't put on clothes before visiting the drive-through, but he won't worry about those Internet things.
