He's not the first person who comes to mind when I think of philanthropy, but kudos to Kid Rock for stepping in to help a girls' high school golf team in need of some new clubs. The coach of the girls' golf team at Milan High School, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit, had her car burglarized, and six sets of golf clubs were stolen. The story made the news, and when Kid Rock heard about it, he called his friend John Daly, said he was planning to buy six replacement sets, and asked for a recommendation.
Daly recommended calling TaylorMade Golf, Rock did it, and they arranged for custom-made sets for the team. Sounds like Rock is a real humanitarian. He's also the second boyfriend of Pamela Anderson we've mentioned here at FanHouse this morning. Perhaps we've got a thing for her.
