Mark Cuban has yet to address his team's
epic collapse on his infamous
weblog, but he's keeping his name in the news. The topic of the day is performance enhancing drugs. Cubes - in the latest
Men's Journal issue - says that he wouldn't mind if the NBA
allowed them.
Drugs that are detrimental to your health should be outlawed. But if it's not bad for your health and it'll enhance your performance, why should you not be allowed to take it?
It makes the game more interesting. It just makes sense. But it doesn't make sense in the context of the current controversies over drugs in sports.
Now, I'm no scientist, but I've never heard of any performance enhancing drugs that were good for your health. I mean, isn't the harm they cause to the human body the main reason why they're banned by the major pro leagues? Cuban is right about one thing, though: Performance enhancing drugs would make sports more interesting. Just imagine how awesome Dirk Nowitzki would be if the guys and gals in the lab coats came up with a cure for his Playoff
shrinkage.
