Still No Word on Ricky's Return to Miami

Despite Ronnie Brown showing up at minicamp looking like Kris Jenkins, it wasn't enough to make Dolphins general manager Randy Mueller comment on running back Ricky Williams' future with the team.

One problem is that the NFL is taking its time on Williams' reinstatement, and probably won't have a ruling until next month. And then there's this, from the horse's mouth:
Mueller last week again declined to say if the team wants Williams back, and he hasn't informed Williams, either. The Dolphins say not to read into the fact his locker was given to Lorenzo Booker, though that raised eyebrows.
Also, don't pay any attention to Booker getting No. 34 either. (I'm kidding, Booker got No. 20.)

Seriously, given new head coach Cam Cameron's housecleaning efforts, it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to put the Ricky Williams era behind him. I don't necessarily agree -- I think Williams still has a lot left, and if the league reinstates him, he'll be playing somewhere in 2007 -- but I understand. (Just in case Cameron needed some reassuring.)
