Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that Chicago Bears defensive lineman Tank Johnson will meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Wednesday, a meeting that is likely the precursor to Goodell giving Johnson a lengthy suspension.

Johnson was arrested three times in 18 months and is currently serving time in Cook County Jail for violating probation on 2005 weapons charges. He will be released from jail this weekend. Goodell previously met with Titans cornerback Pacman Jones and Bengals receiver Chris Henry, and shortly after those meetings he banned Jones for the entire 2007 season and Henry for eight games.

The Bears suspended Johnson for one game last year as a result of off-field conduct, but Goodell has made this his pet issue, and it's highly unlikely that Johnson will get off with just that one-game punishment. My best guess: Goodell suspends Johnson for six games.
