A look at some of baseball's old school scuffles ...

This series has been struggling as of late, namely because MLB has put the YouTube police out on many of its finest baseball fights. The only two MLB clips we had up have already been yanked from YouTube. (See here and here.) For shame. But fear not, lovers of a good brawl. The college game can provide them, too.

Case in point, here's a scuffle between UC Davis and Chico St. from 1998. (According to the user who uploaded it.) What's unique about this fight is the fact that it wasn't a beanball that plunked a dude and started the brawl; it was an altercation between a player sliding into home and the catcher.

It appears as if the Chico St. player reaches his hand up and slaps the mask off the UC Davis catcher as he slides into home. UC Davis' first baseman doesn't like it, gives the Chico St. player a bit of a chest bump, and it is on.

Don't miss the UC Davis catcher tossing a Chico St. hat back onto their side after the brawl. What a nice guy!
