Some kids have a it all: the latest video game systems, the coolest bike on the block, the most expensive sneakers ... a dad who'll run onto the field at a baseball game and get arrested. Wait ... what? Of all the things I wished for as a kid, seeing my dad get hogtied by baseball security wasn't one of them. But apparently things are just a bit different in Connecticut:
A Red Sox fan is facing charges for running on the field during Sunday's game at Fenway Park.Sadly, there's a good chance Baggott's son didn't even witness the display -- I'm guessing a kid that spoiled probably has the attention span of a gnat, which means he was just as likely throwing a tantrum trying to get his mom to buy him Wally the Green Monster as he was watching his dad break the law.
Michael Baggott, 37, of East Haven, Conn., was stopped by security after jumping a wall and running across the field during the ninth inning.
Baggott told police he was at the game with his father and 7-year-old son, and that he ran on the field in an attempt to impress the boy.
Baggott is charged with trespassing and disturbing a public assembly.
