Not exactly, but for our purposes, close enough.

As it turns out, Lord Stanley will be making a guest appearance on ABC's Boston Legal tomorrow night, and it appears that Denny Crane, the borderline insane law partner played with relish by the aforementioned Shatner, actually gets hold of the Cup.

From the fan site boston-legal.com:
Brad and Denise`s wedding takes a wrong turn when the priest who is marrying them is suddenly arrested for harboring illegal aliens. Alan Shore takes on the Father`s case, but when Denise goes into labor, Brad frantically searches for someone to marry them so that their child is not born out of wedlock.

Meanwhile, Jerry Espenson defends a woman who is being evicted from her apartment because of her pet duck - who serves as emotional support to help her anxiety -- and Alan is puzzled when he discovers that Denny Crane has the Stanley Cup in his possession.
I guess it all makes sense. After all, Shatner is a native of Montreal, though I'll be damned if I can ever remember him saying he was a hockey fan.

Now, will I actually make time to watch Boston Legal just to see Shatner with the Stanley Cup? Well, considering that the Cup's appearance will be occurring sometime during the second or third period of Game Three of the Ducks-Red Wings series, probably not. Then again, something tells me this photo is all I, and you, will need to get our chuckles.
