This is the time of year where coaching rumors are a dime a dozen, and frankly, none of them are that juicy. But the Palm Beach Post is reporting one with more than a little sizzle to it: Former Heat coach Stan Van Gundy, who turned down an offer this week to coach the Indiana Pacers, said Thursday that he has "a great interest" in coaching the Orlando Magic next season.Granted, the Magic haven't offered it to SVG. They are supposedly chasing Billy Donavon, and now Bob Hill is openly campaigning for the job. I can't stress enough, though, how amazing this would be. Van Gundy and the Heat instantly become real rivals, all based on the way Riley totally did his former assistant wrong. And as Shaq becomes lazier, worse, and more obnoxious, his intra-state protege Dwight Howard becomes his rightful heir.

Said Van Gundy: "It's a good job and not much of a lifestyle adjustment for my family."
What's more, if the Heat keep decaying, the teams might not be so far apart competitively next season.
