When the American Hockey League's Calder Cup (hockey's top minor league's answer to the Stanley Cup) Finals get underway this coming Friday night in Hershey, the host Bears will be without their tough guy as they try to repeat as AHL Champs.

Kip Brennan -- who has amassed big-time penalty minutes everywhere he's played, including NHL stints in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Anaheim, and has never been shy about dropping the gloves -- was suspended today for the rest of the playoffs for an altercation he got in with a Manchester Monarchs fan during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Yeah, that'll do it (and that fan, Brennan, the league and the sport are lucky that glass was there, otherwise this certainly wouldn't be the first you're hearing of the incident).
