New England Patriots defensive end Marquise Hill has died at the age of 24, drowning in Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana after a jet ski accident Sunday night.Hill played three seasons for the Patriots after a college career at LSU, where he helped the Tigers win the national championship in 2003.
Neither Hill nor his companion, who was rescued by nearby boaters, was wearing a personal flotation device. Hill was in his native New Orleans for the holiday weekend. "I'd never seen him as happy as he was yesterday," his uncle Aaron Hill told local television station WWL.
