Wedding Bells for Elisha Cuthbert and Sean Avery?

Hockey's hottest couple (apologies, Willa Ford) hit the gossip pages from Miami to New York over the weekend. The Miami Herald's "Scene in the Tropics" column reports that Rangers winger Sean Avery and his girl Elisha Cuthbert were "cuddling and dancing on the banquette next to the DJ booth" last week at Mokai, an exclusive Miami Beach nightclub with a preposterously Flash-filled Web site. The Herald claims a "spy" witnessed Elisha using a Panama hat as a prop to tease Avery while she danced ... which sounds a lot sexier than, say, using Henrik Lundqvist's goalie mask or one of those awful multi-colored NASCAR hats that look like someone chewed up and retched a box of Crayolas.

Meanwhile, the NY Daily News Gatecrasher gossip page reports that Cuthbert and Avery may soon be (or already are) engaged:

Sources close to Elisha Cuthbert are buzzing about engagement rumors. The "House of Wax" actress has been dating New York Ranger Sean Avery since 2005, "but she's being very close-lipped about it all," a pal tells us. Cuthbert even picked up a garment called "the wedding dress" (not literally) at the new Chloe boutique opening in Bal Harbour on Monday night.

Sounds like Sean Avery may be ready to take the plunge...which, based on previous incidents, means he can expect another fine from Colin Campbell, I suppose.
