With Game Four of the NBA Finals in just a few hours and possibly the end of the series, it's time to pause for a moment to think of all the apparel in Northeast Ohio that is about to become clearance priced.Walking into a certain sporting goods chain in suburban Cleveland today, I was immediately greeted by the sight to the right. Twelve tables, about 30" x 120" each followed by 3 freestanding racks with nothing but Cleveland Cavaliers and Cavs NBA Finals t-shirts, jerseys, hats and sundry other gear. All of it selling at full retail for at least one more day.
No doubt stores -- and the numerous tents selling Cavs gears by gas stations around town -- are all hoping for a win tonight to give the sales until Sunday and Father's Day Gifts.
This one, should already have the price slashed after Game 3 and the 1-10 shooting, "Shoot Boobie Shoot" no longer seems like such a good idea. It's up there with "Flop Varejao Flop."
