It looks like this Kobe mess is just not going to go away anytime soon.According to two League sources, Bryant, the 28-year old Laker superstar, met with team owner Jerry Buss in Spain on Friday, and re-iterated his desire to play for a team other than the Los Angeles Lakers next year.
Bryant voiced concerns about the direction of the franchise and reiterated his demand to be traded, said a source with knowledge of the situation.Reportedly, Jerry Buss left the meeting in a state of shock and didn't know whether or not he would give in to Bryant's persistent trade demands.
"That's the message that came out of it," the source said.
For what it's worth, I don't think Kobe is going anywhere. Not yet, anyway. The Lakers are going to do everything they can to bring in some help this summer -- look for some moves around draft time -- and but there's no way they're going to make the same mistake they made when they hastily traded away an unhappy Shaquille O'Neal in 2004. Kobe is going to remain a Laker, whether he likes it or not.
