It looks like this Kobe mess is just not going to go away anytime soon.

According to two League sources, Bryant, the 28-year old Laker superstar, met with team owner Jerry Buss in Spain on Friday, and re-iterated his desire to play for a team other than the Los Angeles Lakers next year.
Bryant voiced concerns about the direction of the franchise and reiterated his demand to be traded, said a source with knowledge of the situation.

"That's the message that came out of it," the source said.
Reportedly, Jerry Buss left the meeting in a state of shock and didn't know whether or not he would give in to Bryant's persistent trade demands.

For what it's worth, I don't think Kobe is going anywhere. Not yet, anyway. The Lakers are going to do everything they can to bring in some help this summer -- look for some moves around draft time -- and but there's no way they're going to make the same mistake they made when they hastily traded away an unhappy Shaquille O'Neal in 2004. Kobe is going to remain a Laker, whether he likes it or not.
