Greg OstertagYou've heard about Kobe Bryant wanting out of La-La land, and you know that Kevin Garnett nixed a deal to Boston. But finally, here's the hot (hawt!) rumor you've been waiting for all year: the Big O is making a comeback!

That's right, in a move likely to send the NBA Store in New York scrambling to stock up on extra jerseys, Greg Ostertag has announced his intentions to return from retirement. (What, you're telling me you didn't realize he was gone in the first place? Join the club.) Courtesy of Sports by Brooks, here's the news from the Lawrence Journal World & News:
"First I have to try to get my fat butt in shape," Ostertag cracked. ...

"I am still young enough to play," he said. "Last year was the first time in 24 years I haven't played. It was fun, but I think I can still do it. I might give it a shot this year. I'll tell my agent to put my name out there and see what happens."
I could be wrong, but I'm guessing the whole "see what happens" part might be a bit underwhelming -- I'm thinking nothing but crickets until someone ends up blowing out a knee during training camp. So what has Ostertag been up to these days? If I had to guess, I'd say working on his ping-pong game, waxing his monster truck or, as the video below the jump shows, working on his dance moves.

Why did I put the video after the jump? Because I wasn't sure how many of you had lunch. Trust me, it's not for the faint of heart.
