I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I'm a Vince Young fan, and I'd enjoy seeing him profiled. But on the other hand, 60 Minutes used to be my favorite non-sports show on television, and the fact that they've turned it over to celebrity profiles is the reason it's no longer among my favorites. So is it a good thing that Young will be the subject of a 60 Minutes segment? Young and coach Jeff Fisher think it is:
"It's pretty cool that 60 Minutes wants to come down and interview me as well as learn my background, where I come from, about my family, and why I act why I act," Young said.CBS won't say when the segment will air, but I can almost guarantee that it will be shown after the CBS telecast of the Titans-Colts game on Sept. 16, which will allow CBS to grab some ratings from fans who tune in for the game and stick around for the Young feature.
"They've done their homework, there's no doubt," Fisher said. "They've dug up a lot of things that even was of interest to me."
