Let's face it, you don't get nicknamed "Spaceman" because you have a great fastball. Ex-Red Sox Bill Lee was more famous for his off-field antics than for most of what he did on the field in his major league career. He jogged home to Belmont after games he pitched in Fenway, he protested air pollution by showing up dressed as an astronaut, and he even developed his own pitch - the Leephus Pitch - a variation of the high-arcing Eephus Pitch. And like any good Red Sox soldier, he separated his shoulder in a brawl with the Yankees. Enjoy the Spaceman here in one of his not-so-famous television commercials.
