Anucha Browne Sanders' sexual harassment lawsuit against the Knicks and (more specifically) Isiah Thomas has sat on a hot plate for a few months now. Most expect settlements in these sorts of scandals; no public figure seeks the sort of gnarly attention attached to these proceedings, even if justice and/or cash is the cost of escaping prolonged fishwrap exposure. That said, this case is not like others as Sanders' suit will apparently go to trial, according to Newsday's Ken Berger, with jury selection slotted for Monday morning.
Despite the awesome potential for the dirty laundry and secrets of the Knicks and the Garden to be aired in public, the case is virtually 100 percent assured of going to trial, the sources said.'Awesome potential' would describe the tabloids' feelings on the matter; I can assure you neither Isiah nor James Dolan relishes flipping over The Post for the next few months.
As a reminder, Sanders claims she was sexually harassed by Isiah between 2004 and 2006, and then fired from her job as a Knicks executive after complaining about Zeke's conduct.
