Matt KempJeff Kent came under fire from some of his teammates when he suggested the Dodgers' abundance of young players was part of the reason for their September swoon, and it seems that at least some members of the front office might agree. Bill Plaschke of the LA Times suggests that Matt Kemp, one of the inspirations for Kent's comments, might be available this winter:
Matt Kemp's breathtaking ability makes him attractive. But his constant struggles to embrace the little things that turn talent into championships make him expendable.

Russell Martin, James Loney, Chad Billingsley and Jonathan Broxton are probably staying.

But insiders say Kemp could be going.
...
"We've still got a positive view of the kids," [GM Ned] Colletti said Tuesday. "But I'm open to doing whatever we have to do for the right deal."
Kemp must be doing a whole lot of the "little things" wrong if Ned Colletti is seriously considering giving up on him. After all, this is kid who's only 23 years old but is hitting .331 with a .873 OPS in 275 at-bats, including .370 against left-handed pitchers. His high upside might be the reason why he'd be such good trade bait, but anyone the Dodgers get back has to make a huge impact for several seasons for the Dodgers not to come out behind on the deal.
