Talk about calm before the storm. There's really nothing doing today, so if you're starved for NBA content you might as well read
Doug Christie vs. his comments section. That the Christies are all over the internet really means nothing to me; after all, he's unemployed, and would never have been known were it not for the gimmick of his creepy relationship. But I find it kind of hilarious that a former NBA player is fighting with his comments secton. Even I don't bother with that much, and I can't even pay for my juice boxes. An excerpt:
Mihajlo: I love the hypocracy in your interview about women in the NBA workplace. The exact type of behavior by young ladies that you are trying to prevent is the behavior of your wife in this picture.
DC: The last time I checked, my wife was a model. There is a difference I think when you're taking a photograph. Also, if you run back and go look at our comments, then you may catch a clue on what I said. I said I only worry about what Jackie wears. What women choose to wear is their decision. By the way, you really shouldn't try to make this out to be a topic on women's clothing. They are free to wear whatever they want, as I said. This is about everyone, I repeat EVERYONE, being treated respectful in the workplace. Thank you.
As far as I can tell, Christie spends most of the time trying to convince readers that his marriage is pure and normal. Oh yeah, and every outrageous rumors they've heard is false. I wonder, though, if he realizes he's shooting himself in the foot. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that controversy drives traffic.
Doug Christie needs to be telling us how weird things are with Jackie, not boring us to death with disclaimers and deflections. Otherwise, pretty soon people will have no reason to visit his blog--even if he can
make it back into the league.
