The Stick it to Rusty and ESPN/ABC Contest

Has there been a moment since July 29th when ESPN/ABC made you wish you had DirecTV's NASCAR HotPass? If so, DirecTV wants to hear about it.

The satellite TV company is sponsoring a contest put together by my fellow NASCAR blogger, CCR @ The Black Flag Blog. The Black Flag NASCAR Hotpass Moment Contest affords fans the opportunity to submit an entry of 250 words or less on the following topic:

"The moment when ESPN/ABC made me wish I had DirecTV's NASCAR HotPass was when..."

Each entry will be judged for humor, writing and creativity and the winners win stuff.

Do I even remember my first one? There have been so many moments! Maybe this was it. No matter. Unfortunately, I won't be able to submit my own because ... I will be judging the contest!

And I encourage all of you to participate!

Da Rules
1. Entries must be 250 words or less. Entries may contain links and those links will not go against the word count
2. Entries must be submitted no later than Wednesday October 31st, 2007. At the discretion of The Black Flag and M80, entries may be closed prior to that date in the event the volume of submissions.
3. Winners must be DirecTV subscribers in order to receive the Hotpass or Pay-Per-View certificates. Those winners who are not DirecTV subscribers will be eligible to win the Clint Bowyer Die Cast.
4. Unfortunately, in order to receive the prizes you must live in the United States or Canada.
5. Your entry needs to include the words "Hotpass Moment" in the subject line.
6. The Black Flag has the right to publish any entries submitted.

Da Judges
The Black Flag has put together a great panel of five judges for this contest. Here they are:

Queen of the NASCAR blogosphere TallGlassOfMilk (hey, that's me!);
Former New York Times NASCAR reporter and author of the new novel Yellow Flag, Robert Lipsyte;
NASCAR Media Critic John Daly of the Daly Planet;
Lugnuts radio madman ChuxStory; and
KLValus, winner of the FoxSports/Miller Lite NASCAR Next Great Sportswriter Contest.

The judges will not know who the entrants are during the judging process. This contest will be fair and balanced. No hanging chads. No ballot box stuffing. No conflicts of interest. No Sanjaya.

Da Prizes
1. First Prize. One first prize of a DirecTV NASCAR Hotpass subscription and a 1:24 Scale Clint Bowyer die cast will be awarded.
2. Runner Up Prizes. There will be four runner up prizes awarded. The runner up will receive their choice of either a DirecTV Pay-Per-View certificate ($40 value) or a 1:24 Scale Clint Bowyer die cast.
