No, that's not a euphemism -- they literally just like hanging out with Verne Troyer, the two-foot-seven dude from all those Austin Powers movies. At least, that's the word from from Michael Grange, who covers the Raptors for the Globe & Mail and wrote about bumping into Troyer (not literally, fortunately -- no one was hurt!) earlier this week in his blog From Deep:T.J. Ford chatted him up and they exchanged cell phone numbers. T.J. had a pretty good question, I thought: "How does one guy have like three different movies coming out at the same time? And how do they know in advance that guy is going to be so hot that they put him in three movies?" So Troyer filled him in on the star-making business and T.J. couldn't have been happier. And then Troyer started talking up the opening of some night club tonight and a lot of the guys said they planned to be there, proving that Mini Me has friends in high places.I don't doubt that Ford eventually caught up with him -- he's the only guy who makes Ford feel tall! I just hope he called Troyer by his real name and didn't make the mistake of calling him Mini-Me. Just ask Paul Pierce: that's just not a nice thing to do.
