Oh No, Smith's Big Mouth Guarantees Win Over Patriots

There's been a lot of debate about whether Anthony Smith is a intense, hothead who channels that aggression into strong play on the field, or if he's simply an idiot.

After today, the evidence is pointing really strongly toward him being an idiot.

The Patriots are a team that spends massive amounts of energy to try to find the smallest slight to motivate them for that week's game. In fact there have been times when the coaching staff has made up quotes from the opposing team to get the Pats fired up.

This week that won't be a problem.
"We're going to win,'' Smith said today after practice. "Yeah, I can guarantee a win.''
Maybe you could argue that the Patriots were going to be fired up already. But even if the grizzly bear was hungry it still makes no sense to poke it with a stick.

Smith kept on poking.
"I think we were facing great receivers last week too and we shut them down,'' Smith said. "Those three guys, I don't think it gets much better than Cincinnati's corps of receivers. We've already seen the best."
Great. Just what the Steelers needed, a fired-up Randy Moss. Moss is better off left alone in hopes that he'll sleepwalk his way through some of his routes.
