T.O. Implores You: It's Unfair to Blame Loss on Romo's Mexican Vacation
During his post-game press conference, Terrell Owens gets pretty emotional when defending Tony Romo. Not so much because the Cowboys quarterback threw the game-deciding interception, but because the media will blame Romo's uneven performance on his Mexican vacation with Jessica Simpson.
It's an impassioned plea, and, frankly, not one I expected to see from Owens, at least when talking about something other than ... well, Owens. But if you can get over the blubbering, T.O.'s right: spending time south of the border had nothing to do with Romo's play, New York's pass rush did. And for the record, tight end Jason Witten was also with Romo on the Mexican getaway, and he finished the game with seven catches for 81 yards. So what's his excuse?
By the way, I wonder what Donovan McNabb and Jeff Garcia think about this.
